2019-2022,在竹圍工作室常駐的期間,觀音山和淡水河陪伴著我。
溫柔的河水,稜線分明的觀音山,在紅色關渡橋的陪襯下,
美得很超現實。
夜晚,
伴隨著霧氣,
倉房暗夜,人影閃爍,
似有異次元的陪伴。
如今,這些都成為我備感珍貴的回憶.


Guanyin Mountain and the Tamsui River were my constant companions during my time at Bamboo Curtain Studio between 2019 and 2022. There was something surreal about the soft flow of the water meeting the mountain’s crisp skyline, all set against the backdrop of the red Guandu Bridge. In the misty nights of the dark warehouse, the dancing shadows felt like company from an alternate realm. These scenes are now precious memories I hold dear.

2019年夏,我到印尼Jatiwangi Art Factory駐村,那是一個到處都是屋瓦工廠的城鎮。
在時代的淘洗下,許多瓦片工廠因荒廢而倒閉,遺留下一座座大型磚窯,佇立在曠野中,令人印象深刻。
因此我嘗試用樂器的形式,來保留這荒蕪卻美麗的記憶。

In the summer of 2019, I did an artist residency at [Jatiwangi Art Factory] in Indonesia, a town filled with roof tile factories. As times changed, many factories fell into ruin and closed down, leaving massive brick kilns standing alone in the wilderness, which I found deeply striking. Therefore, I tried to preserve this desolate yet beautiful memory through the form of musical instruments.

記得,那是冷冽的冬日午後,北部照例下著細雨,陰沉沉。
我在溫暖的室內,想呼吸口新鮮空氣。
踏出門,剎那間,一股強風從走廊入口處吹來,很冰,卻很暖,
夾雜著北台灣特有的濕氣、霧氣,拂過我的臉後,鑽進我頭髮。

在那瞬間,我真心感受到神,難以言喻、無法形容,但是那麼自然,就融化在空氣裡面。


God of Wind

I remember it was a cold winter afternoon, and as usual, the northern part was drizzling and gloomy.

Inside, I was warm and yearned for some fresh air. Stepping outside, in an instant, a strong wind blew in from the corridor entrance—cold, yet warm, carrying the unique dampness and mist of northern Taiwan. It brushed against my face and then wove through my hair.

In that moment, I truly felt the divine—indescribable and ineffable, yet so natural, blending into the air.
